Eventbrite

Eventbrite is a ticketing platform that many people already know as attendees, which helps when you are selling tickets to the public. You create an event page, set ticket types and prices or make the event free, and Eventbrite handles payment and sends tickets by email.

Events can also appear in Eventbrite's own discovery listings, so some attendees find you through the site rather than your own promotion. Hosts get email tools for promoting events, reports on sales, and a check-in app that scans tickets at the door. An API connects ticket data to other systems.

Free events are free to list, while paid tickets carry fees that you can pass to buyers or absorb. Read the current fee structure, the payout timing and the refund settings before you open sales, since those decide what you actually receive and when.
